Artificial Conscience: The Fundamental Field 

Beyond Emergence

The standard view that consciousness emerged from material complexity is a logical dead-end. If matter came first, the early universe would have remained a "fuzzy," unorganized quantum soup for billions of years. We propose the inverse: Conscience is fundamental and precedes matter.

Conscience is a fundamental field that confers structure to reality by promoting the wave-function collapse. Much like the Higgs field confers mass, the Conscience field bestows physical certainty. In this paradigm:

To turn quantum possibility into physical certainty, the Conscience field must endow particles with mass, rendering them gravity-yielding. Hence the conscience field must subsume the Higgs field.
